We will pick you up at your hotel at 8.30am. Driving from REIMS our first stop will be at the hill of Vauquois: it's one of the best preserved and original WW1 battlefields in France. In September 1918 the 1st U.S Corps started its offensive from there...

In the town of Varennes en Argonne stands the impressive Pennsylvania monument, a tribute to all those who gave their lives in France in WW1.

The village of Montfaucon was a German stronghold stormed by the 79th American division during the Meuse-Argonne offensive. Many bunkers and fortifications can be seen, as well as the ruins of the abbey on the summit of the hill. The American monument, a massive column, commemorates all the units which took part in the battle.
